Graphic websites
InterComm follows a structured, 5-phase approach to web development to ensure your website remains affordable, practical and a powerful tool for increasing sales and brand awareness:
1. DEFINE
To ensure that your website is based on a sound marketing strategy, InterComm facilitates a structured working session with marketing and key management personnel to brainstorm, define and document your current (and future) "electronic marketing strategy".
- Core competence and capabilities
- Your clients - Who are we aiming to attract and how can we attract or serve him better via the website?
- Your competitors – what do you offer that they don’t? We review competitors’ websites, as well as the ideas and opportunities being exploited in related market sectors.
- Understanding your brand: defining the look and feel of the website.
- Analysis of the competitive advantage of each of your products or services.
- Objective of the website: what do you want and expect to achieve?
- Resources available: time, money and people.
2. DESIGN
We follow international best practice in design: Fast: there is a critical balance between attractive graphics and fast loading
- Concise but comprehensive: we offer readers concise, useful information with intelligent analysis.
- Organised: we make it easy for the user to find what he wants without the use of search engines. Boredom and frustration are the primary reasons why people leave a web site.
- Relevant: the internet is a one-on-one experience. People will listen if what you are saying relates to their interests and needs.
- Fresh: InterComm helps you provide new and different content every time they look.
3. DISCOVER
During this phase, preliminary content is gathered and collated from interviews, photographic files, old brochures, press releases and catalogues. InterComm can handle photography, source stock photography on your behalf, or project manage your choice of photographers.
A website is only as good as its content. Based on interviews or brochures, our skilled copywriters will ensure that your web content is written in a suitable style and format to suit your audience. We will advise on the type of content that will attract your prospect's attention and retain his interest
4. DEVELOP
InterComm works with leading web technologies including HTML, CCS, 2D and 3D animation and JavaScript. We make appropriate use of creative graphics, scripted elements such as interactive menus, forms and database interactivity.
InterComm is able to provide database structuring and administration for areas where information needs to be gathered from prospective or current customers, or where "tabular" or photographic information needs to be presented to clients. InterComm works primarily with PHP and MySQL.
5. DEPLOY
- Domain registration
- Web hosting.
InterComm does not offer hosting services itself but can advise on, and negotiate, appropriate hosting solutions or domain names if required. Hosting and domain fees are charged directly to the client, and InterComm receives no commissions.
- Search engine registration. We are experienced in submitting to the traditional SA and international search engines. We automatically include metatags for optimal results with search engines.
- Ongoing content management, For a website to remain a strong corporate brand, it must be regularly maintained. InterComm continues to work with its clients over many years to ensure that the site remains fresh and exciting - even on a limited budget.
- Web master: Management of incoming email and requests for information. Web master: Management of incoming email and requests for information
Gift Acres
GiftAcres was an exclusive residential estate in Pretoria, with residences valued at between R2,9 and 5,2 million.
The website is the primary marketing tool for the estate, and is used by both Estate Agents and prospects. The site carries a great deal of detailed information, structured in a bold interactive menu.
As no marketing material existed InterComm was contracted to identify the marketing strategy for the Estate, interview the architect, project managers and developer and from their “vision” write appropriate copy.
